    please show a video of how you far you turned back the eccentric hub to tension the chain, Im having trouble getting the hub and brake carrier stay to stop dropping when I'm tensioning chain, and the correct position of the hub does the pinch bolt have to be in and tightened slightly to hold hub in one spot then tighten chain any help appreciated thanks

    • @KevsShed
      @KevsShed 17 днів тому

      nip the tensioning bolt ever so slightly to create a slight drag on the hub, this should help hold it still while you tighten everything.

    Hello and thanks for the video! I just started to look into this scooter in the 50 cc level as I do not have a motorcycle license. I called a moped mechanic and he thought that if I wanted to tune the Django 50 cc one needed computer software to be able to fine tune things right? is this correct? is Django 50 cc by injection or by a carburettor? sorry for my English, I am Swedish... Does the Django moped have an EFI system, I think this is what the mechanic was refering to? that the fuel mapping and injection timing might need to be adjusted using Peugeot’s diagnostic software. and maybe also their Electronic Diagnostics: To ensure all sensors and electronic components are functioning correctly after mechanical modifications, diagnostics software might be required? The got something called the Peugeot Planet System (PPS) or Peugeot Diagnostic Software. For professional use, mechanics typically need access to this or similar official software to perform in-depth electronic diagnostics and adjustments. But honestly, have they put this into the Django no matter if it is 50 cc or 150 cc? does anyone know if this is really the case, that Peugeot Django needs an EFI system or an advanced CDI unit that allows electronic adjustments? I find it hard to find the correct information about the Peugeot Django... And if the tuning of a Peugeot Django 50 cc moped is complicated to tune? I was thinking that most of the modifications such as changing the exhaust, carburetor, air filter, variator, and CDI unit are mechanical and do not typically require access to computer software? However, I have heard that some modern scooters and mopeds do have electronic components that can be adjusted or optimized using specific software, particularly if they have an Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) system or advanced electronic ignition systems. Can someone please help me out and see what one needs to do this right and if the software is easy to download on any computer like a Macbook if needed or what must one do? I was thinking of: Upgrade the Exhaust System Adjust or Upgrade the Carburetor Install a High-Performance Air Filter Change the Variator and Rollers Install a Performance CDI Optimize the Engine Timing and Compression But if a computer software is really needed I do not know how to find that and a mechanic that got it and know how to use it? please advice me what can be done and not and how one should do this right! thanks, Chris

    Very helpful video Kev, thank you. I was pulling my hair out trying to decipher how to bleed the rear brakes from the Haynes workshop manual! A good point made by @mattlee8247 below too, as my VFR 800 is also a non-ABS model, and I have spent a fair bit of time in the recent past trying to find the right hand side bleed valve, only to discover of course that it doesn't exist on non-ABS braking systems.

    At about 52:00. The spring goes that orientation because it's a progressive spring. The loose coils at the bottom make for a softer, more compliant ride over smaller bumps. As the spring loads up over bigger road hazards, the tighter stiffer coils at the top come into play

    • @KevsShed
      @KevsShed 29 днів тому

      Correct, it goes that way because the manual says so, however if you put it in the other way the spring would still act exactly the same, it would make no difference to the way it rides!

    I found that moving the airbox just slightly gave enough room. I only removed 3 connections at the top right corner,2 vacuum pipes and a plug. Second time I've done this job recently as first time I did the tune up on the old tensioner but didn't last long,a few hundred miles before it was ticking again. New tensioner now fitted.

Cause i found valve lifters B, in sizes 2.93 mm to 3.35 mm (steps of 0.07mm). And re-use the valves, springs and VTEC element inside the lifter ? Thanks, your answer would really help me !
